Freqently Asked Questions

Question: How many square feet per gallon will I get?
Answer: 50-55 square feet per gallon (2 medium coats)
Question: How many rollers will I need??
Answer: You should get 2 rollers per gallon.
Question: Should I purchase the UV?
Answer: Yes, one bottle for every two gallons. You only need to add the UV to your second coat. (Note: You do not need the UV for the aliphetic grizzly grip.)
Question: Should I purchase the aliphetic or aromatic?
Answer: Only purchase the aliphetic if you are ordering the White, Almond, Dove grey, Baby blue or Bold blue colors. For all other colors we highly suggest the aromatic. (Note: With these colors you will notice a yellow hue after a few weeks with the aromatic Grizzly Grip.)
Question: Can we purchase the Grizzly Grip in a fine texture?
Answer: Yes, but the fine only comes in Black, Emerald green, Liberty blue, Navy blue and Grizzly brown.
Question: Do I have to use a primer with Grizzly Grip?
Answer: You only need primer if you are coating bare aluminum, bare steel, glass surfaces or surfaces that will be submerged in fresh or saltwater.
Question: Can swimming pools be coated with Grizzly Grip?
Answer: No, do not use Grizzly Grip in submerged, chlorinated water. It may effect the longevity of Grizzly Grip and we do not suggest it. (Note: Grizzly Grip will work great around pools, or where chlorinated water may splash the surface.
Question: What temperture should we apply Grizzly Grip in?
Answer: The range can be from 60 to 95 degrees, these are moisture cure urethanes, the higher the humidity the faster it will dry.
Question: Do we have to add anything to grizzly grip before application?
Answer: For the aliphetic grizzly grip you MUST add an accelerator to the product to speed up the dry time. (Otherwise the aliphetic grizzly grip can take days to dry.) The aromatic also comes with an accelerator, but only use it if the humidity is below 55-60%.
Question: How long after we order is Grizzly Grip shipped?
Answer: The same day or the following day, we make this coating to order so it is fresh by the time you recieve it. Any orders over 50 gallons will ship within 1 to 2 days of the order. We ship via UPS or truck depending on the volume.
Question: Is there any type of warranty with your product?
Answer: Only if there is a manufacturer problem, we do not warranty against peeling because that is a preperation problem. If your prep work is good, it will not peel or fail.
Question: Will your coatings fade?
Answer: After a period of time all types of bedliner coatings will fade when exposed to direct sublight. If someone tells you different, they are not telling the truth. You can protect and bring back the original luster by wiping it down with Armor All or equivilant every 2 to 6 months.
Question: How long after we purchase Grizzly Grip is it good for?
Answer: We will warranty its potlife for 30 days (from purchase date). If conditions are good (low humidity and heat) we've seen it last as long as 6 months. We suggest using this product within a few weeks of the purchase date.
